Nathan Calhoun
"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were such a cornerstone in my adolescence "

October '07

Q: What are your goals in music?

Nathan Calhoun:My only goal right now is to finish a full length album by the end of next year.

Q: What's the first album/tape/cd you ever owned?

Nathan Calhoun:I would listen to my dad's Led Zeppelin tapes when I was 9 years old. I think my favorite was Houses of the Holy. I pretty much made it my own, along with the rest of his music, and we would listen to it in the car as loud as the radio would go. I felt like the coolest kid in the world.

Q: Ninjas or Pirates?

Nathan Calhoun:Because Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were such a cornerstone in my adolescence, I would have to choose Ninjas.

Q: Would you say that you have some groupies right now?

Nathan Calhoun:I definitely have a small group of the opposite sex that always end up drinking too much and starts to believe that every love song I sing is directed towards them. Sometimes I think they just want to hear their voices in the microphone. My girlfriend, Allison, is always cool about it though.

Q: Do you consider yourself successful in music?

Nathan Calhoun:I've far exceeded any goals I set when I decided to start playing professionally. So the immediate answer is yes. But, trying to be reasonably ambitious, I have set new goals. I would love to create my own music that people enjoy. It doesn't have to be nationally recognized, or make a bunch of money, just solid music that people can appreciate.
