Five Below Band
"We were practicing recently when a storm blew in and lightning struck…"

October '07

Q: What are the band’s goals?

Five Below Band: We would all love to make this our career path and quit our day jobs.

Q: What’s your favorite song you play and why?

Five Below Band: Music is something that comes from the soul and when it’s played with the love, the sound is incredible. So I don’t think we could narrow it down to just one!.

Q: Who comes up with the artwork for your merchandise and your CD covers?

Five Below Band: Andy Bosomworth has been a friend of the band for a long time. He has helped support the band anyway he can. He came up with the latest t-shirt design for the band. Earl Sowders (www.i-clik.com) is another long time friend of the band and photographer. Earl was responsible for the pictures taken for the Rockers For Life CD and magazine articles. We love what he did with the photos. Earl also made our most recent live show banner. He does incredible work with photos. We would encourage anyone to contact him for band or event photos/banners etc… Deric Fowler was responsible for the original Five Below logo and was very helpful in getting the original t-shirts printed..

Q: Ninjas or Pirates?

Five Below Band: Most definitely Pirates. Pirates are so much like musicians, always on the move, most comfortable hanging with the gang, always trying to find something to get into. Pirates definitely have more fun than any Ninja could ever dream of. Besides, who knows the name of a famous Ninja?????.

Q: Do you have any stories about your experiences? Anything funny or outrageous happen to you yet?

Five Below Band: We were practicing recently when a storm blew in and lightning struck just outside of the practice room. We all got quite a jolt. Rick got the worst of it, given that his guitar went flying across the room (I’m pretty sure he helped it). The lightning trashed some of our equipment, but everybody was fine. Sign or freak occurrence? We still haven’t decided… .
